Tree Climber, Safety Focused + We will pay for you to become an ISA Certified Arborist

Tree Climber – 40 hours/week, year-round employment- $18-35/hr, depending on years of tree climbing experience

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Evaluate tree health for safety of climb. Keep yourself and your coworkers safe.
• Evaluate all safety gear including harnesses, ropes, pulleys for safe functionality.
• Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment.
• Wear all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Maintain all climbing equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of safety procedures and work with the crew lead to ensuring the team is meeting safety standards.
• Climb trees, using climbing rope and saddle, or lifts to gain access to work areas.
• Operate boom trucks, lifts, loaders, brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks and other equipment and tools, and lower branches with ropes.
• Cut away dead and excess branches from trees, or clear branches around structures, walks and drives, using climbing equipment or lift buckets and chainsaws.
• Communicate with your crew members to keep them safe from falling debris.
• Prune to reduce/redirect for health, aesthetics and storm damage prevention.
• Load debris that can not be chipped onto trucks/ trailers and haul it away for disposal.
• All crew members must walk the property for any possible tools and/or equipment left behind.

Expectations

• 8 hour shifts typically, but there will be some longer days.
• You will be paid OVERTIME for any week over 40 hours
• Paid holidays after your first 90 days

Minimum Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF TREE CLIMBING EXPERIENCE
• YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF ROPING & RIGGING EXPERIENCE
